The Barony Wellness site descends into the Lugar Water Valley forming a micro-climate where Barony Wellness will refocus the natural environment to create a leisure space at one with the existing eco-system.

Working with world-class partners, Barony Wellness is developed to fit alongside the current nature and woodland already at the site. With the emphasis on using the natural topography of the land and ‘blended’ architecture, the Wellness Centre and the nature that surrounds it will appear as one.

Proactive and sensitive planting of carefully chosen trees and other flora species to produce high levels of beneficial ozone and cleaner, pollutant free, air.
Refreshment areas amongst the trees will be provided for visitors to experience the charm of the area for mental wellbeing and relaxation in the proximity of the natural environment.
Open air theatres sensitively created for live performances of local and travelling entertainers, spa and wellbeing centres.
Walkways of varying difficulty for all age groups and physical ability.

Geo-Thermal Energy

The Barony Wellness site is situated on top of the Dumfries geo-thermal geological corridor. Currently we are in discussions with all of the relevant organisations towards a collaboration to establish Barony Wellness as a self-contained user of electricity generated by geo-thermal energy. The company has received positive support for the progression of discussions. Barony Wellness will be developed as a model of research and application of 21st Century renewable energy.
